This applet demonstrates diffusion-limited aggregation.

Configurable parameters include a number of manual colour-map controls (on the left) - and three parameters of the diffusion-limited aggregation system (on the right).

The model is a cellular automaton, based on the [Margolus neighbourhood].

The automaton operates at a higher resolution than is displayed - in order to reduce pixellation in the results by employing anti-aliasing.

Toroidial boundary constraints are appled, so the resulting images will tesselate seamlessly.

This automaton is loosely based on the DLA model described in Cellular Automata Machines [1].
